The UIDAI official website provides several options for the applicants and cardholders like the E-Aadhaar download option, Aadhaar card updating, Mobile and Email verification etc.
Checking the status of your Aadhaar card application is one such best feature provided by the UIDAI official website. The applicant can get the details of this Aadhaar card status at his fingertips. All he/she has to do is visit the UIDAI website and enter a few simple details.
Here is the step by step procedure to known your Aadhaar status by using your name and registered mobile number.
Step 1: visit the official UIDAI website.
Step 2: On the left-hand side you can find a heading “Aadhaar Online Services” and 3 sub-headings below that. Under the sub-heading “Aadhaar Enrolment” you can find the last option as “Retrieve Lost UID/EID”. Select this option or click here instead https://resident.uidai.gov.in/find-uid-eid
Step 3: Now you will be redirected to a new page with a heading “Retrieve EID/UID” and a fill-up form below it. On this page, on the left-hand side, you will see two option, “Aadhaar Number (UID)” and “Enrolment Number (EID)” select the Enrolment ID option.
Step 4: Now, on the right-hand side you can find a fill-up form, start entering the details like the full name, Email, Mobile, and code as shown in the captcha. Enter these details carefully and recheck.
Step 5: click “Send OTP” button after completing the fill-in, now the server will send an OTP to your Mobile number and Email ID.
Step 6: Check any one of them and enter the OTP in the box on the right side and press the “Verify OTP” button
Step 7: Now the Enrolment ID will be displayed on the screen. Save this enrolment id and details
Step 8: Now go back to the main screen or click here https://uidai.gov.in/
Step 9: On the left-hand side you would notice a tab with heading “Aadhar enrolment” and several options below it. Click and select the option “Check Aadhar Status” or click here https://resident.uidai.gov.in/check-aadhaar-status
Step 10: Now the page redirects to another tab and page with a heading that says “Check Aadhar Status” in big bold letters.
Step 11: Now you may notice that this page has a fill-up form which asks for Enrolment ID and date/time. Fill in these details as acquired from above procedure. PS: all the details to be filled in will be mentioned on the screen at the end of the previous procedure.
Step 12: Once you have completed filling in the details correctly, enter the security code as displayed in the captcha and click “check status”
Step 13: Now, the screen will display the status of your Aadhaar card and details of the application submitted.
PS: To make use of almost all the online features provided on the UIDAI website, the applicant or the user should have a registered mobile number. Every online feature on UIDAI site verifies the user’s identity by sending an OTP to the registered number, and without entering this OTP on the website, no actual details of the cardholder will be disclosed by the site.
